BRIEF INTRODUCTION OF THE DEPARTMENT


The need of this institution to improve on technology development brought about the established of Faculty of Environmental in 2008/2009 academic session and Department of Urban and Regional Planning is one of its components The aim was to produce excellent graduates of Ordinary National and Higher National Diploma that will be able to compete favourably with their colleagues in the profession of ordering the use of land and services for healthy living from other institutions across the world. The Department is blessed with many academic experts who are also members of the Nigerian Institute of Town Planners and registered with Town Planners Registration Council of Nigeria. Having blessed with these academically and professionally qualified members of staff, the Department had produced many graduates that are doing well in different sectors of economy. Aside human resources, the department is adequately provided with academic facilities that offer enabling environment for academic and extra-curriculum activities.
