GOVERNING COUNCIL AFFAIRS DIVISION OF THE REGISTRY DEPARTMENT
The Administrative Department is referred to as the Registry. The Registry department keeps registers or records. This is done through the avenue of registration of documents, letters, mails, students, staff and record of minutes or proceedings at meetings e.t.c.
The Governing Council is the most important and highest decision making body in the institution. Apart from the Visitor/ Executive Governor of the State, the Governing Council is the next highest body formulating policies and determining the direction of the institution. The Governing Council is headed by the Chairman. Membership of the Council is drawn from the Political class, Professional bodies, Academic, Assembly, Industry, Alumni, Management and other relevant Organizations.
The Registrar post an officer to handle Council matters. The person posted is referred to as the Council Affairs Officer.
